This collection contains an index of various convict records from the state of New South Wales in Australia. The most common types of records in the index are tickets of leave and certificates of freedom. Records may contain the full name of the individual, the year the individual arrived in Australia along with the name of the ship, the record type, the date of the record, and any comments.<br><br>In addition to tickets of leave and certificates of freedom, the index also contains recommended conditional pardons, ticket of leave passports, convict death registers, absolute pardons, certificates of emancipation, and a small selection of various other record types.<br><br>The records in this collection were published by the State Archives and Records Authority of NSW © 2016 State of New South Wales through the State Archives and Records Authority of NSW.
